DR. RAY

& DR. KENDRA

get to know

DR. RAY HULBERT started practice in 1999 at Hulbert Family Chiropractic in Calgary, Alberta.  Ray graduated from the University of Calgary in 1995 with a degree in Kinesiology  and then went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic where he graduated magna cum laude.  Dr. Ray focuses on all members of the family and over his career has developed a reputation for having an exceptionally gentle presence and touch.

“When I was in University, my father had a debilitating nerve condition in his left arm. Within a few weeks, it progressed from a stiff and painful shoulder to numbness and severe weakness.  He had tried many types of health care without success.  Finally, after trying chiropractic, he began to regain the strength and feeling in his arm and movement in his shoulder until he had a complete recovery.  This experience really drove home the power of the nervous system and the body’s ability to heal after a chiropractic adjustment. I knew that my next step in school would be in chiropractic.”

DR.KENDRA SHARP-HULBERT completed her Pregnancy and Pediatrics fellowship through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in 2002 after completing her doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1999.  She and her partner, Dr. Ray Hulbert started a practice in Calgary, Alberta in 1999 and moved to southern Vancouver Island in 2014, where they took over Releasings Chiropractic in Duncan, BC. Currently, Dr. Kendra enjoys seeing individuals of all ages. Dr. Kendra Sharp-Hulbert also has personal interest in the brain-body connection, pregnancy care and nutrition.

“Growing up in a family that used chiropractic care as part of their wellness regime, I knew I wanted to make a difference in life as a chiropractor.  At age 12, I was diagnosed with structural scoliosis.  Under regular chiropractic care, my scoliosis improved, I also noticed a reduction in allergies, chronic tonsillitis and improved eye-hand coordination. Today, I am so thankful for regular wellness chiropractic care for myself and my family.  I know that without the regular chiropractic care that I received in my teens, my life experience would be a very limited version of what I’m currently living.  Sharing the concept of the wellness chiropractic lifestyle with other families in the community is very important to me.”

In their spare time, you can find Dr. Ray and Dr. Kendra hiking, camping, boating and enjoying their kids’ sporting activities.  They have two children, Anna, aged 14 and Zachary, aged 11.

My goal in chiropractic is to make each individual feel cared for at every visit.  Each person has their own unique history, subluxation pattern and energetic needs.  As soon as I lay my hands on them, the challenge of solving their complex, unique mystery becomes very encompassing.  Sharing the chiropractic lifestyle with families and helping them to live their best lives so that they can function at their best. health.
